Hispanic Heritage Celebration was held on September 29, 2009.  Students, parents and staff sampled foods from all over the Spanish speaking world: Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, Honduras, Uraguay, El Salvador, Cuba and more! There was fabulous dancing to sounds of the Spanish rhythm, beautiful clothes and wonderful singing.

Lakewood Elementary School

celebrates Awards Day

on November  6, 2006. 

 Awards will be given for outstanding performance in character, enhancement classes, and academics. 

Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grades - 9:30 

3rd, 4th and 5th grades - 10:45 

Principal’s Award – (Grade K-2) – students have ALL 4s and/or Os for outstanding and (Grades 3-5) – ALL As and Os.  This includes all Enhancement grades – there can be no Ns on the report card. 

Bulldog Award – students having all 3/4s and Ss (satisfactory on their report card or all As/Bs and Ss (this does Not include enhancement grades.) 

Perfect Attendance - students who have attended school everyday for the entire semester. They can have no more than 2 tardies for the quarter.  If your student arrives to school  past 8:55am., they are considered tardy. 

Most Improved Award – students will be recognized in different areas of learning for progress/improvement in academics or behavior.

Enhancement Awards – 2 students per class who will be recognized by Enhancements teachers for individual achievements.

Positive Behavior Support – Students that have earned green bulldogs every day for the nine weeks.
